Newsletter Six - Update - 11th October 2012

Heya,

For those of you that don't already know, little Melanee lost her battle at 5 o'clock this morning.  Horrendous.

I'm doing my absolute best to keep on top of it all, but, as I hope anyone would feel having to witness one child die in a lifetime is one too many.  Seeing two within a month is gut wrenching.  While you all know how much I love this place, I have got to say, I am relieved to have a flight out.  I don't think I could cope with seeing anything else like this in the not too distant future.

Going to make the most of the rest of my time here, concentrating on the 35 remaining sprogs!  You'll perhaps not be surprised to know, each and every one of them has been smothered in kisses and cuddles (like the ones a toothless 100 year old granny gives out!) - more to make me feel better than anything else - which has helped me so far in dealing with the utter ridiculousness and pointlessness of the reasons these little ones are being taken from us.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know what had happened, sorry its not better news.

I should also apologise as there is probably room for one final installment before I leave, so while you've nearly been spared the essays from Africa.....we're not quite there yet!

Love you

Z xXx
